Beyond Borders: Virtual Reality's Impact on Higher Education
Abstract
This investigation investigates into exploring the application of Experience virtual reality in the classroom, with a specific emphasis on how it effects the education journey of nursing students. The study adopts a descriptive research framework and enrolls a cohort of 179 nursing students who partake in VR-infused educational activities. The elements under scrutiny encompass the recognition of VR media tools, characteristics of VR content, impacts of VR on learning, immersive encounters, student contentment, and potential future utilization of VR for teaching purposes. Information gathering was executed by distributing surveys post VR learning sessions utilizing the HTC VIVE ECO CE edition. This edition comprises a foundational station, controller, and headgear, fostering hands-on learning via navigation and software selection. Only individuals who granted written consent were deemed eligible to participate in the survey. Analytical methods encompassed, percentage breakdown, descriptive figures, and multiple regression analysis. The discoveries from this study improve comprehension of the efficacy of virtual reality systems in amplifying learning achievements and offer guidance for crafting VRcentric educational schemes in nursing academia and beyond.
